Assistive Technology – Find out More

A showcase of some of the latest assistive technology (AT) will be on show in Saxon Hall, Hereford, this October as part of an event being hosted by Services for Independent Living (SIL).

SIL, a Herefordshire based charity which supports older and disabled people, will be hosting its AGM on Thursday, 5th October, between 12 noon and 3pm, and is inviting anyone who would like to attend.

As well as finding out more about AT from a number of local providers who will be showcasing their products, the event will include Kelly Kendrick from Telecare, demonstrating some of the items available for keeping safe in the home, and David Atkinson, Chairman of the British Assistive Technology Association, talking about the latest computer technology and how it is improving lives for many disabled people.

A free lunch will be included and an opportunity to find out more about SIL as an organisation, so if you would like to join SIL for this event please register by contacting Shelagh Callaghan no later than Wednesday, 20th September, on 01568 616653, or email: shelagh.callaghan@s4il.co.uk
