Rejuvenate – A place for carers to find creativity, ideas and support

Support for Carers living in Herefordshire.

Rejuvenate ! Our story

In October 2016, Maggie and Lisa first bumped into each other at The Courtyard, Hereford at the screening of the film ‘Yarn’. Little did they know that almost a year later they would be launching Rejuvenate ! – a new Creative Carers’ group. Shortly after this meeting, Lisa attended Maggie’s workshop on Twiddlemuffs (textile creations to help people with dementia) and a friendship began.
As Carers, they both understand that creativity in everyday life aids relaxation, reduces stress and improves wellbeing. They just want to get this message across to others Carers, whatever their age or ability. It wasn’t a case of ‘if’ just ‘when’ they would start !
With the backing and help from Josie Rogerson at The Courtyard Theatre and Arts Centre and the assistance and support from Rachel Wilkins at Herefordshire Carers’ support, the seeds were set and the plan was put in place. …..And, oh has it been fun !

Latest News

SIL will endeavour to keep this page as up to date as possible but if you are in any doubt please refer to the email address or facebook page.

Rejuvenate! is entering its fifth year.  During the last eighteen months, we have been creatively supporting you online from our newsletter, The Rejuvenation (nineteen and counting) to the incredibly popular Creative Craft packs delivered to your door.  We have tried to sprinkle that in between with announcements of local events/courses/information/activities which may be of interest to you.  The newsletter and craft bags will continue every two months, from October.

As you will see from the attached poster, our monthly sessions will start again in September so please make a note on the calendar.

Thursday, 2 September 2021 ,  10.30 – 12.30, Nell Gwynn Room at The Courtyard

We will start off the session with a short AGM, followed by our guest speaker, Dr Sheila Marsh, a Carer herself and Chair of Herefordshire Dementia Partnership and past chair of Herefordshire Carers Support.

Our new ‘Year Book’ will also be available, (a separate email will be sent out about these shortly) plus a sample of the new individual craft tote bags.  To round off the session, we are handing out a ‘Changing Seasons’ bookmark kit to make on the day or take home to finish.

To enable us to plan refreshments, please reply by email before the 19 August to book your place as numbers may be limited.

We are all looking forward to seeing you safely again after such a long time.
