About SIL

We are a not for profit charity which is really committed to helping people live as independently as possible.

Made by and for our service users

Our range of services and experience means that we can tailor our support to your needs, however small or however significant. We can:

  • Provide care in the home and in the wider community.
  • Support you in social activities or education.
  • Help you manage your direct payment.
  • Enable you to be an employer of your own personal assistant, or buddy, with payroll, bookkeeping and HR support.
Our Mission
Our Vision

SIL Social Value

We work in partnership with local authorities, the NHS and local voluntary organisations to improve the lives of disabled people and older people and to facilitate their participation in and integration into society.

SIL has a set of guiding principles, our PRIDES, on which we base the way we work. Neither Old Age nor Disability defines you; we want to work with you to help you lead the life you choose.
