Men’s Health Week 2025

Men’s Health Week, running from 9th – 15th June, is a powerful annual campaign that shines a light on men’s physical and mental wellbeing. It’s a crucial time to encourage men to prioritise their health, break down stigmas, and seek support when needed.

Why Is Men’s Health Week Important?

The statistics speak for themselves:

  • 1 in 5 men dies before the age of 65 (Men’s Health Forum).
  • 4 in 5 suicides are men, with suicide being the leading cause of death for men under 35 (UK Parliament).
  • According to the BUPA Wellbeing Index:
    • 43% of working British men want their employers to provide better mental health support.
    • 50% have struggled with mental health, yet fewer than half have sought medical advice.
    • 37% actively hide their struggles from their partners.
    • 30% don’t know where to turn for advice or support.
    • 65% of employees recognize that stigma around men’s mental health remains strong.

These numbers show why it’s more important than ever to talk about men’s health and encourage real change.

What Can We Do?

The Men’s Health Forum is leading this year’s charge, calling on employers to take visible action. This includes:

✅ Running mental health awareness sessions. ✅ Encouraging time off for health check-ups. ✅ Creating peer support spaces at work. ✅ Opening up conversations about mental health.
