What is Food Hygiene?

The food hygiene course will help you to understand the causes and symptoms of food poisoning and the legal requirements with regard to hygiene and safety.

What will I learn?

• Describe legal requirements with regard to food hygiene and safety
• Explain the results of poor food hygiene practices at work and at home
• Recognise the causes of food poisoning
• Recognise food poisoning symptoms
• Understand the importance of good personal hygiene
• Understand the importance of correct food handling and preparation at work.

How much does the training cost?

This awareness course costs £30 for a half day session, course materials, qualification certificate and refreshments.
