Nothing gets in Lindsey’s way

Lindsey has never let her disability stand in the way of her doing what she wants to do and this has included everything from baking to weaving.

As well as her other hobbies and interests, Lindsey has been painting for many years, and this July she is delighted that she has a one-woman exhibition of her paintings in, Grange Court Leominster

As well as her art being on display, she is also selling them to raise money for local charity Services for Independent Living (SIL), which celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year.

SILโ€™s Independent Living at Home team supports Lindsey in her daily life and with all the things she has wanted to do, and it is this close relationship that prompted Lindsey into selling her works on behalf of the charity.

As well as exhibiting her work, there will be a TV broadcasting more of her pictures and a video demonstrating how Lindsey creates her paintings using her mouth sticks.

Lindsey will be there in person on selected days, sharing insights on the role of SIL, the challenges disabled people face, and the fundamental right everyone has to live the life they choose.
