Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Awareness
I have worked in senior roles within the healthcare sector for over 25 years and have a passion for developing ‘user led’ services. I believe that services should fit the individual, rather than making the individual fit the service and a key component of this is excellent communication. Throughout my career I have been involved with developing communication and information for the people who use healthcare services, staff and senior managers through committee and board papers.
I have undergone formal media training, Mental Health First Aid trainer training and am an accredited mediator. I am co-founder of HMMH – Hereford Men’s Mental Health Group which won both the Mental Health Care category prize and Outstanding Contribution Award in the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2020.
I enjoy seeing people develop new skills through training and try to make my sessions as interactive as possible.
