A Roaring Success!

Services for Independent Living (SIL) is a proud member of The Courtyard Community Group. Supporting this wonderful local venue is important to us because so many of our service users are able to enjoy the arts thanks to the fully accessible venue and the range of productions, shows and films, especially adapted for individuals with disabilities, that take place across the year.

As a thank you to its Community Group members, The Courtyard occasionally gives complimentary tickets to see some of its productions. Recently they gave us a pair of tickets to attend the press launch of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The tickets were put in a hat and the lucky winners attended the show and a small reception after.

Donna Tranter, Team Leader, and Jen Clarke, a support worker with the Independent Living at Home service, were the lucky winners and said they had a lovely evening out.

Donna added: “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was fabulous, especially one little girl who had the crowd in stitches.”
