Training Venues

Most of our training is held at our head office at 1 Owen Way, Leominster Enterprise Park, HR6 0LA. Here we have a large room equipped with a 65″ Smart TV, compatible with laptops for presentations, flexible format seating for up to 20 people, fully accessible site and WC facilities, refreshments and free Wi-Fi and parking.

Our Moving and Positioning Training is held locally in Herefordshire.  This ensures that our training involves practical use of a wide range of assistive equipment alongside the theory.

Meet the trainers

We at SIL are delighted to be able to offer a whole range of training focused around our mission and vision, ‘providing individual care and support services empowering people to lead an independent life at home’. Our team of qualified trainers consists of members of our team here at Services for Independent Living in addition to external training bodies when appropriate. Each brings their own wealth of experience and passion for their field making the training relevant and interesting.

I have worked for SIL for 10 years now, working along side Tara Jones, Registered Manager. Working for SIL have given me the opportunities to progress my career including gaining BTEC Level 3 Award in Teaching and Education in 2022, which has lead me to becoming a trainer in Medication. Training at Services for Independent Living

Did you know that we deliver training for internal and external customers?  Open to our staff, clients and other businesses we pride ourselves on high quality training at affordable prices.

Our training provision was developed as a way to ensure that our staff are fully competent and confident in providing high quality care and also to ensure their safety and welfare at work. We are delighted to be able to share this with you; investing in your staff is proven to increase productivity, quality of work and your employees will feel valued.

SIL courses are not only for care providers; we host a wide range of training that is valuable in every workplace such as Health & Safety, Emergency First Aid at Work and Mental Health First Aid and Awareness courses.

Our team of qualified trainers consist of members of our team here at Services for Independent Living and external training bodies.  Each brings their own wealth of experience and specialism in their field making the training relevant and interesting.
